Cairns Fishing Tours
On the 25th September 1966, Captain George Bransford landed his first thousand pound marlin, caught by his deckhand Richard Obach off Cairns. Australia's first 'grander' and the many 'thousand pound plus' fish caught in the few years following, established Cairns internationally as home of the Giant Black Marlin.
Whether you like marlin fishing, game fishing, reef fishing, sport fishing, fly fishing, estuary fishing or just sinking a line into the water somewhere then Cairns is one of the best places in the world to get hooked. There's a range of fishing tours that take you from estuary to deep sea with all the fun in between. It's a fantastic day out with mates and a great way to not only see the beauty of the area but have a little fun while you're at it too.
