Port Douglas is thought to be one of the world's best fishing locations. You can charter a boat or take one of your own out for an ocean adventure or head up one of the estuaries or rivers into the fresh water. On the reef you can choose game fishing or fly-fishing and catch a range of exciting fish like Black Marlin, Giant Trevally, Coral Trout and Red Emperor. Fresh water fishing is also exciting as you might come face to face with the famous Barramundi.

Scuba Diving and snorkeling is a big drawcard for those coming to Port Douglas. There's some amazing dive sites off the coast and there are many gorgeous reef systems to explore.
