Soph and the Real World
Occurs every week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday
Do you like sharp witty language? Watching the transformative power of love? Being surprised and delighted by the twists and turns of life? Then JUTE Theatre Company's new show 'Soph and the Real World' by Jane Modric is for you.
With live music on stage, 'Soph and The Real World' is a show that will appeal to people who love music, clever language and who are looking to deepen their theatre experience.
Writer Jane Modric delivers a biting expose of familial relationships, making for an illuminating and amusing ride through the psyche of Soph, and the sources of her neuroses.
At the centre of the play is commitment–shy Soph, "Everyone’s had the experience of swallowing too much says Playwright Jane Modric, whether it’s that extra block of chocolate, or one glass too many. Soph just takes these things to extremes. Something’s got to give, and here it’s her body saying “enough!”’
'Soph and The Real World' takes some thorny subjects and wraps a comedy around them. Real life is, after all, absurd, and survival requires a sharp sense of humour.
$35 to $45
