Tablelands Folk Festival 2013
Tablelands Folk Festival is held in Yungaburra 65 minutes from Cairns on the Atherton Tablelands. Yungaburra is on the Gillies Highway and is 10 minutes from Atherton, the closest regional centre.
Celebrating music, friendship and cultural understanding, the Tablelands Folk Festival is the longest running folk festival in Queensland. Held annually in Yungaburra heritage village, surrounded by rainforest and crater lakes, it features family entertainment on five stages.
Presenting over 75 Concerts, 15 Workshops, Comedy, Traditional Bush Dance, Blues Showcase, Poet's Brekky, Wellbeing Fair, Market Stalls, Local Youth Bands showcase, free Children's Festival and Parade, and the famous Pub Verandah non-stop Jam Sessions. Music such as; Australian Folk, Country Folk, Celtic, Irish, Bluegrass, Jazz, Latin, Gypsy Swing, Flamenco, Reggae, and World Music. We have a selection of Australia's best independent musicians.
