Daintree River
The mighty Daintree River begins at a giant sandbar off the coast and pummels through mangrove swamp and passes through rainforest where the water begins to shift into freshwater and becomes home to a fantastic array of wildlife, including the dangerous and deadly saltwater crocodile. The Daintree River separates the world from the Daintree Rainforest and the only safe way to cross the river is by the Ferry which operates 7 days a week. The river itself is beautiful but don't get too close as you wouldn't want to get snapped up!
