Cooktown Aerial Shot - Picture Tour

Cooktown Aerial Shot

Cooktown is the northernmost frontier town located on the east coast of Australia and on the mouth of the Endeavour River. The town gets its name from the famous Captain James Cook who had to beach his ship, the Endeavour, on its beach for repairs back in 1770. You can imagine what the people on board the ship thought after travelling from Europe to this very foreign land with its white sand beaches, dense rainforest and unique animal life.
